In our delivery model, AFTSD seeks to address the lack of contextual evidence in African pro-poor trade policy negotiation by ensuring that the team supporting each project:

Mid-career and young experts both locally based and from the diaspora.
This approach ensures the support provided is informed by the best available lessons, properly accounts for local conditions, facilitates a transfer of knowledge and prepares the change agents who spearhead long-term sustainable transformation. Such an integrated and holistic approach has been shown to facilitate learning-by-doing in a manner that can most effectively address the needs of a particular client.

Our delivery model also capitalizes on recent developments in communication and telecommunication technology. We mobilize the best experts and regional associates in Africa. Through our telecommunication options, they are able to contribute remotely, at the time that is most convenient. This is instrumental in mobilizing the African diaspora at all levels. Overall smart utilization of ICT enables AFTSD to offer timely, cost-effective solutions to our clients.
